Is there quality starts available?
I think it’s time to update this stat glossary page because it appears there are a lot of new stats showing up in the charts.
This glossary needs a few additions it seems. If the fangraphs staff could, it’d be great to see an quick update. For one example, when looking at Pitcher > Game Logs, LI is defined, but RE and WE are not. RE can kind of be inferred from the RE24 definition, but there are so many abstract metrics on this site (which I LOVE, btw), it can be confusing. One idea that’s pretty easy to code — when you hover your pointer over a metric, there’s typically a link to sort by that stat. You could include the name that the acronym or abbreviation represents as a ‘title,’ with the link to sort underneath. For example, hovering over LI would say:
Leverage Index
Just a thought, and pretty easy to implement. Plus you wouldn’t have to link to a definition, because just the name would be enough for someone to copy > paste into google and find the definition elsewhere.
what is rs/9 and e-f for pitchers?
Also, support the addition for QS, as rudimentary as it is. What I’ve done for this is develop an IF function (if IP =>6 and ER <= 3) from what i export from fangraphs to help me calculate it.
You’ve got a couple unfortunate typos, where “split-fingered” is written “slit-fingered”.
What is BsR?
It’s listed in the Dashboard but doesn’t appear in the Glossary.
Also, Off and Def?
